How it works

  1. Choose images or drag them here (up to 30 files at a time, 50 MB each).
  2. Set the quality and the longest side. Larger images are scaled down to it; smaller ones stay as they are.
  3. Press PROCESS. Download the results one by one or all at once as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser; your files never leave your device.

Which formats are supported?

Images your browser can open, such as JPG, PNG and WebP. The result keeps the original format. PNG files are made smaller by reducing the number of colors; transparency is kept.

What does the quality setting change?

Lower quality means a smaller file and less detail. You can compare the result and both file sizes on the result card.

Why does a file sometimes get bigger?

If an image is already well compressed, saving it again can make it larger. The new size then shows in red, and the original file is the better choice.

Is the photo's location data kept?

No. The compressed file has no EXIF data (location, device, date). To remove only that data without touching the image, use the EXIF Cleaner.
