Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser; your files never leave your device.
What's in the ZIP?
For iOS, 18 icons in iPhone and iPad sizes with the Contents.json file Xcode reads; for Android, 48–192 px mipmap icons and a 512 px icon for Google Play; for the web, favicon.ico (16, 32, 48 px), an apple-touch-icon and 192 and 512 px icons.
Why are transparent areas filled on iOS icons?
The App Store doesn't accept transparent app icons, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose.
How do I add them to Xcode?
Drag the AppIcon.appiconset folder from the ios folder into the Assets catalog in Xcode.
Does it also make an Android adaptive icon?
No, it makes the classic ic_launcher icons. An adaptive icon needs separate foreground and background layers, prepared in Android Studio.
